Job summary

Barbosa Cabinets Inc is seeking an assistant/trainee to support field or factory operations under the guidance of a lead. The role involves receiving basic training and performing tasks related to cabinet delivery, installation, and job-site cleanup.

You will verify readiness for delivery, assist with setup and inventory, and ensure safety practices are followed. Responsibilities include handling tools, wiring layout, cabinet installation, and collaborating with teammates to resolve issues

Qualifications

• Basic math
• Able to use technology such as a cell phone app to clock in and out of work
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritize work
• Ability to deal and communicate effectively with a variety of people
• Ability to lift heavy items as required of the position
• Ability to work in a safe manner

Responsibilities

• Verify unit is ready for delivery & spread
• Oversee & assist with cabinet delivery
• Verify cabinets are staged for front and back ends
• Unload tools from the truck
• Connect and layout site electrical
• Set up tools
• Conduct cabinet & parts inventory
• Place cabinet
• Clean up jobsite
• Clean Cabinets, Caulk cabinets, and Install screw caps
• Re-install Doors, drawers & shelves, Putty, Drill for knobs
• Install door bumpers and hardware
• Cover wood tops
• Must be able to work under pressure and can prioritize work
• Under the direction of the supervisors/manager, works toward resolving work problems or assisting fellow workers in solving work problems
• Assures that rules and regulations on housekeeping and safety practices are observed
• Performs other duties assigned
• Work is performed on job site
