Job summary

Burrows Cabinets, LLC in Waxahachie, Texas is seeking a Cabinet First Assembler to join a growing cabinet manufacturing team. You will assemble all cabinet components and move finished units along the line for Final Assembly and Quality Inspection.

The role requires basic hand-tool use, the ability to read a tape measure to 1/32 inch, and the physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds. Overtime may be required during busy periods and weekends.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of hand tools and related equipment (chop saw, pneumatic nail/staple guns, drills).

Responsibilities

• Assemble all cabinet components and move to conveyor for Final Assembly.
• Apply glue, screws, nails and staples as needed.
• Identify quality and cleanliness issues and safety concerns.
• Mark completed orders in Salesforce to update build schedule.
• Maintain clean work area throughout the shift.
• Operate hand tools and read a tape measure as required.
• Overtime may be required during busy periods.

Job Summary

Responsible for assembling all components of a cabinet. Then moves the cabinet on a conveyor for Final Assembly and Final Quality Inspection.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Responsible for applying glue, screws, nails and staples to components when necessary.
• Flexibility to move from one role to the next depending on production line and business needs
• Identify quality and cleanliness issues
• Able to communicate effectively
• Reports defective parts to Management
• Identify safety issues and report to Group Lead
• Mark completed orders in Salesforce to update build schedule
• Clean the work area throughout the shift.
• Basic understanding of hand tools, including a chop saw, pneumatic nail and staple guns, cordless power drills and screwdrivers
• Must be able to read a tape measure to 1/32nd inch
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Able to perform consistently to meet/exceed production quotas
• Ability to perform other duties requested or required by management

• Remain in a stationary position for extended periods.
• Move about the factory floor to access machinery, materials, and product storage.
• Transport materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Operate, activate, and use production machinery and hand tools that require repetitive motions of the wrists, hands, and fingers.
• Detects and inspect parts for quality control at close vision (less than 20 inches) and assess safety hazards from a distance (20 feet or more).

The employee will be exposed to a manufacturing environment where the noise level can be loud and will work around moving mechanical parts. Regular exposure to airborne particles and temperature fluctuations should be expected. The use of appropriate PPE is required.
