Job summary

Merritt Woodwork is seeking an experienced Wood Finisher to prepare and finish custom millwork and wood components for ultra-luxury projects. The role runs 6:00 AM–3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, in our U.S. operation.

You will sand, stain, seal, spray, and color-match finishes, following detailed drawings and work orders to achieve premium quality. Responsibilities include surface preparation, applying stains/finishes, color matching, inspecting output for quality, and maintaining production

Qualifications

• Wood finishing or woodworking experience.
• Experience with domestic and exotic woods and veneers.
• Knowledge of stains, lacquers, paints, and finishing products.
• Experience with sanding, spraying, and surface preparation.
• Ability to read measurements and millwork drawings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and finish custom millwork by sanding, staining, sealing, spraying, and color matching.
• Follow drawings, work orders, and finishing procedures; prepare surfaces.
• Apply stains, paints, lacquers, and other finishes; match colors to samples.
• Inspect finished work for quality and accuracy; maintain production schedules.
• Keep the work area clean and safe.
