Carter Lumber Company is seeking a Cabinet Field Supervisor to oversee cabinet projects in the Eastern Virginia coastal region, ensuring timely production and quality through strong field-to-office communication.

The role requires travel to job sites (overnight as needed) and experience in cabinet construction and project management. This full-time field position includes comprehensive benefits and room for growth.

Qualifications

• Must have strong work ethic, attention to detail and time management skills.
• Able to travel to various job sites; overnight travel may be required.
• Experience in cabinet construction and project management.
• Solid understanding of Job Site Management processes and construction assembly.
• Understands and observes all safety procedures and practices.
• Solid comprehension of all working aspects of contracts; including changes to build out processes and schedules.
• Able to analyze and provide recommendations to solve problems.
• Able to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Exceptional analytical and problem solving abilities.
• Ability to read and comprehend blueprints.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Assists in setting the direction for all cabinet projects.
• Develops and oversees all aspects of cabinet projects in region to ensure goals are met.
• Contributes in the development of the annual budget and ensures budget is adhered to.
• Recommends and troubleshoots needed resolutions to avoid job site issues in field.
• Ensures all stores and installers are aware of installed policies, procedures and safety guidelines that they must follow to meet quality and service standards.
• Provides guidance to stores so that the company can properly execute projects.

Job description

A Carter Lumber Cabinet Field Supervisor is responsible for the development, implementation and supervision for all cabinet-based jobs within the Eastern Virginia coastal regions. This is accomplished by keeping lines of communication and information open between the corporate office and the field to ensure production is accurate and timely. Effective communication with the field and internal departments are mandatory for the success of this position.
