Job summary

Carter Lumber is seeking a Cabinet Field Supervisor to lead cabinet projects across the Eastern Virginia coastal region. You will ensure timely, accurate production by maintaining open lines of communication between the field and the corporate office.

You will supervise store installers and manage project execution while upholding safety and quality standards. The role requires travel to job sites, strong project-management experience in cabinets, and the ability to read blueprints and analyze

Qualifications

• Must have strong work ethic, attention to detail and time management skills.
• Ability to travel to various job sites as needed; may include overnight travel.
• Experience in cabinet construction or project management.
• Solid understanding of job-site management processes and construction assembly.
• Observes safety procedures and practices.
• Reads and understands contracts; changes to build-out processes and schedules.
• Ability to analyze and provide recommendations to solve problems.
• Gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to read blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Assists in setting the direction for all cabinet projects.
• Develops and oversees all cabinet projects in the region to meet goals.
• Contributes to the annual budget and ensures adherence.
• Recommends and troubleshoots resolutions to avoid field issues.
• Ensures stores and installers follow policies, procedures and safety guidelines.
• Provides guidance to stores to execute projects.

Job description

A Carter Lumber Cabinet Field Supervisor is responsible for the development, implementation and supervision for all cabinet-based jobs within the Eastern Virginia coastal regions. This is accomplished by keeping lines of communication and information open between the corporate office and the field to ensure production is accurate and timely. Effective communication with the field and internal departments are mandatory for the success of this position.

Requirements

• Provides guidance to stores so that the company can properly execute projects.
