Job summary

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is seeking a Cabinet Builder - 1st Shift in Waukesha, WI. The hourly rate is $20.80 per hour, with core hours 5 am to 1 pm and mandatory overtime possible.

Work involves operating cranes and moving cabinets to build stations, following OPS/BOM instructions and work orders. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship, with residency within 50 miles of the facility.

Responsibilities

• Operate overhead crane, pallet jack, and powered industrial vehicles.
• Review order sheets and paperwork that accompany each unit.
• Locate cabinets in storage racks and move them to the build station as required by production line workflow.
• Use lifting equipment to install parts in the build fixture following work instructions.
• Assemble all components listed in OPS/BOM for completed cabinet assembly.
• Move cabinets with crane or powered industrial vehicle to staging area for installation on unit.

The hourly rate for this position is $20.80 per hour.

The core hours are 5 am - 1 pm. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times.

Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What you’ll do:

• Operate overhead crane, pallet jack, and powered industrial vehicles
• Review the Order Process Sheets, ECR/ECN's and other paperwork that came with the unit
• Locate cabinets in the storage rack and move them to the build station as required by production line dependent on workflow
• Use lifting equipment to install parts in build fixture following work instructions
• Complete all processes listed in work instructions and assemble all components listed in OPS/BOM for completed cabinet assembly
• Move cabinet with crane or powered industrial vehicle to staging area to be installed on unit

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

• High school or GED (General Education Degree) from an accredited institution is required
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future
• No relocation is being offered for this role. All candidates considered must live within 50 miles of the Waukesha, WI facility. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum of one (1) year of previous assembly experience

Skills:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to work overtime when required.
