Job summary

A cabinetry manufacturer is seeking a Cabinet Assembler responsible for the complete assembly process of cabinets. The role involves using various pneumatic tools, inspecting parts for quality, and meeting production quotas. Candidates should have 1-2 years of warehouse experience and the ability to lift 50 lbs regularly. Attention to detail and effective communication skills are critical for success in this position. Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Assemble cabinets from parts delivered to the production area.
  • Inspect parts for cleanliness and flaws before assembly.
  • Ensure that completed items are constructed accurately.
  • Repair cabinets sent in for servicing.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Summary of Position

The Cabinet Assembler is responsible for the complete assembly process of a cabinet. The components of the cabinet are delivered by the Order Pickers on pallets to the production area where Assemblers will carry the product from the pallets to their station to assemble the cabinet.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for placing the frame facing down on work table; applying glue in frame and end grooves as necessary; nailing the end panels and bottom to the frame; stapling the hangers to the back of the cabinet; installing the toe kick on the cabinet; placing the shelf in cabinet; installation of corner blocks on the cabinet (4); application of hot glue, label and apply doors/skins of the cabinet; loading cabinet on conveyor.
  • Inspect all parts of the cabinet before assembly for cleanliness and flaws. If flaws exist, complete a nonconforming material report and notify your Manager.
  • Inspect each completed item to ensure that it has been constructed accurately, and that the necessary finishes have been applied.
  • Repairing elements of cabinets that have been sent in for servicing.
  • Additional duties as assigned by your Manager.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to meet deadlines, exhibit great attention to detail and communicate in a professional, concise manner is essential. A thorough understanding of standard business practices, problem-solving issues in a rapid environment and a clients-first attitude is necessary for success. Familiarity with cabinet fabrication, terminology or similar industry experience is highly preferred, but not required.

  • Ability to use various pneumatic tools to perform work functions.
  • Ability to consistently meet/exceed production quotas.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
