Job summary

AAR Corp is seeking a Cabin/Interiors Technician III with 1–3 years of aviation maintenance experience or as a new graduate of aviation technical or A&P school. The role includes performing complex cabin reconfigurations, repairing and installing seats and galley components, and interpreting blueprints and service bulletins.

Must possess basic tool knowledge; FAA Airframe license is preferred. Strong communication in English and ability to follow instructions are essential for working with teams

Responsibilities

  • Under direct supervision remove, disassemble, clean, inspect, repair and reinstall cabin furnishings and equipment (galleys, lavatories, seats, overhead compartments, panels, carpeting).
  • Repair, adjustments and installation of aircraft seats.
  • Read and understand blueprints, engineering documents, service bulletins, manuals; perform complex cabin reconfigurations.
  • Hold general knowledge of tools.
  • Understand how to read a micrometer, depth gauge or dial calipers.
  • Identify interior fasteners and determine grip lengths and installation methods.

Job description

SUMMARY: The Cabin/Interiors Technician III has less than 3 years of experience in heavy aircraft maintenance. This is an ideal position for new graduates from Technical or A&P school.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Under direct supervision remove, disassemble, clean, inspect, repair and reinstall as needed of aircraft cabin furnishings and equipment as galleys, lavatories, seats, overhead compartments, panels and carpeting.
  • Repair, adjustments and installation of aircraft seats.
  • Read and understand blueprints, engineering documents, service bulletins, aircraft manuals and catalogs and perform complex cabin reconfigurations.
  • Hold general knowledge of tools.
  • Understand how to read a micrometer, depth gauge or dial calipers.
  • Identify interior fasteners and determine grip lengths required, and possess basic knowledge of installation methods.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Able to communicate effectively verbally in reading, writing, and comprehending in standard English.
  • Able to interface in a professional manner with other AAR Aircraft Services employees and customers.
  • General mechanical aptitude.
  • Able to comprehend and follow instructions.
  • May or may not have an airframe "A" and/or powerplant "P" certificates.
  • Must possess and be able to skillfully use the minimum tools required.
  • Must have 1 - 3 years of aviation maintenance experience and/or be new graduate of aviation technical or A&P school.
  • Ability to learn.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • FAA Airframe license in good standing, preferred but not required.
  • Some related maintenance experience preferred.
