Silver Cliff Ranch in Nathrop, CO is seeking a Cabin Keeper/Server to maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for guests aged all ages. This role involves daily cleaning tasks, assisting with meal prep, service, and cleanup for three meals per day, and providing high-level customer service.

Responsibilities include keeping the kitchen and Dining Hall clean, supporting laundry, assisting with campus turnarounds after groups, setting up tables for events, and helping in the Gift/Snack

Qualifications

• Ability to work on a team and relate well with others.
• Self-starter and organized.
• Willingness to take direction and supervision.
• Proficiency in safe use of cleaning equipment and tools.
• Ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds.
• Ability to identify hazards and respond appropriately.
• Ability to communicate in English, perform basic arithmetic, and provide good customer service.

It's a great feeling to work for a company that does so much good for others around the world!Education: High school diploma or equivalent.Pay Rate: $15.15/hrBenefits: Shared housing and three meals/day provided; 3 days off most weeksWork experience: Previous hospitality or dining service experience preferred.Essential Functions:The Cabin Keeper/Server will ensure Silver Cliff Ranch is a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our guests of all ages.1. Complete daily cleaning tasks as instructed.2. Assist with the prep, serving, and clean up of three meals per day.3. Always provide guests with a high level of customer service.4. Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen and Dining Hall after every meal.5. Assist in maintaining facility grounds and report any maintenance hazards or issues.6. Work as a team to turn around the campus efficiently and thoroughly, cleaning up cabins/lodges and main gathering spaces after groups leave.7. Set tables and chairs in the Opera House and Dining Hall for each group prior to their arrival.8. Completing routine end of day tasks (taking out trash, prepping for the next day, etc.) as assigned.9. Assist at the Gift Shop and/or Snack Shop as assigned.10. Assist in the laundry room to clean and fold linens, towels, and other reusable guest items.11. Offer support to groups as requested.12. Safely start, manage, and put out campfires for groups as requested.13. Execute other projects assigned by the Executive Director or Dining Services Manager.Measurable Deliverables:1. Complete weeklong orientation and training to become confident in the role and build rapport and connections with co-workers.2. Assist with serving over 15,000 meals to guests of all ages from around the country.3. Set a high bar for customer service and hospitality.4. Assist with the successful completion of at least ten campus-wide turn around clean up days.5. Ensure each summer group arrives to a clean, hazard-free campus.Credentials, Skills and Abilities:1. Ability to work on a team, relate and work well with others.2. Must be a self-starter and organizer.3. Ability to accept guidance, direction, and supervision.4. Proficiency in the safe and proper use of cleaning equipment and tools.5. Ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds including unloading food, supplies, and equipment as needed.6. Visual and auditory ability to identify and respond to environmental and other hazards of the site and facilities and guest behavior.7. Ability to provide First Aid and to assist guests in an emergency once certified.8. Pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens throughout employment.9. Provide proof of work eligibility status upon request.10. Pass a pre-employment and biennial criminal background checks.11. Demonstrate the ability to:a. Respond sensitively and competently to the service population’s cultural and socio-economic characteristics.b. Communicate effectively in writing and verbally in English and perform simple arithmetic calculations.c. Provide excellent customer service using organizational and planning skills.d.
