Job summary

YMCA of the Rockies seeks a Cabin Counselor Specialist to lead a cabin of 8-10 campers, deliver program area activities, and ensure safety and well-being while providing exceptional service. Collaborate with a co-counselor and program staff to support campers’ physical, social, and emotional health throughout the session.

Qualifications

• Experience working with youth in a summer camp setting.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
• Excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor.
• Willingness to obtain additional certifications for program area.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participate in staff training prior to working with campers.
• Deliver program curriculum and supervise activities.
• Set up program areas and clean supplies as needed.
• Develop lesson plans and teach one or more activities.
• Assume one weekend of camp responsibilities during the summer.
