POSITION SUMMARY

The Cab Electric Technician will run wire harnesses according to schematics. They will install interior trim and soft ceiling. Also, the Cab Line Assembler will crimp and connect wires and electrical components together and add switches as needed.

HIRE-ON BONUS
You will be eligible for a hire-on bonus of $3,000, to be paid as follows:

  • $500 after 90 days of employment
  • $1,000 after 6 months of employment
  • $1,500 after 1 year of employment

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

All employees are required to support Rosenbauer’s Mission, Vision, and Values. The following are the essential duties of this position and do not include marginal functions that are incidental to the performance of fundamental job duties. The scope and duties of a given position may change or be temporarily altered based on the business needs of Rosenbauer.

  1. Runs wire harnesses according to schematics.
  2. Removes and reinstalls the interior trim and soft ceiling.
  3. Crimps and connects wires and electrical components together.
  4. Install related equipment into the cab.
  5. Wires the air pumps, dash components, and fuse box to complete the electrical components within the cab.
  6. Routs A/C lines and installs vents in the applicable places.
  7. Install steps and illumination system along with other components on the floor of the cab apparatus.
  8. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by management to meet the needs of the organization and our members.

Tools to be utilized:

Hand tools, power tools, grinders, cut off wheels, and tape measure.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSA’s): The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

Knowledge, Education, and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma/GED.
  • Strong mechanical and technical ability required.
  • Low voltage electrical experience required.
  • Manufacturing experience .

Skills:

:

  • Able to read and work from blueprints/spec books.
  • Able to read and understand a tape measure accurately.
  • Able to follow written and verbal directions.

Math:

  • Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

Computer:

  • Able to perform simple computer tasks to obtain information/changes related to the build process and/or troubleshoot.

Abilities:

  • Able to identify quality issues, recognize changes within the production process, and adjust as needed.
  • Able to prioritize work and to multitask while adhering to deadlines.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision in a team environment.
  • Able to understand and follow all safety policies to promote a safe working environment for all.
