Job summary

Barnes Dennig is seeking a CAAS Senior Accountant to join their Client Accounting & Advisory Services team in Indianapolis. You will handle daily accounting tasks, prepare tax documents, post GL entries, and review financial documents with attention to detail.

Responsibilities vary by client size and needs; you will interact with clients, prepare monthly analyses, close books, and support audits and tax preparations while upholding internal controls and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3–6 years of accounting experience.
• Strong time management and ability to balance multiple projects.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Post transactions and categorize records in the general ledger.
• Reconcile cash accounts to bank statements monthly.
• Prepare monthly analyses and account reconciliations.
• Conduct month-end and year-end closings.
• Support month-end/year-end close processes.
• Analyze trends, costs, revenues and forecasting.
• Prepare reliable current and forecasting reports.
• Monitor cash position and future cash needs.
• Maintain accounting records and files.
• Prepare documents for audit and tax preparations.
• Collaborate with Controller to refine policies and procedures.
• Maintain internal controls and confidentiality; meet with clients on accounting issues.
