Job summary

North American Partners in Anesthesia seeks an Anesthesiologist Assistant for the Blue Ridge Surgery Center in Raleigh, NC. This position covers a fast-paced ambulatory setting with full outpatient anesthesia across orthopedic, ophthalmic, ENT, and gynecologic cases.

No call, weekends, or holidays are required. Requirements include a Master’s Degree from an Accredited Anesthesiologist Assistant Program and licensure adherence per AAAs guidelines.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited Anesthesiologist Assistant program is required.
• Must comply with American Academy of Anesthesiologist Assistants licensure guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Case assignments: full spectrum of outpatient anesthesia—orthopedics, cataracts, retinas, ENT pediatrics, and GYN.
• Pre-anesthesia assessment
• Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
• Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
• Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
• Monitoring of the patient’s physiological condition and intervention as needed

Blue Ridge Surgery Center was established in 1985 on Blue Ridge Road with four operating rooms. Since then, it has grown to six operating rooms with two procedure rooms. Today, this location spans 13,000 square feet and is staffed by 80 professionals, including long-tenured teammates.
