University of Utah is seeking a qualified Anesthesiologist Assistant to work under medical direction on a Salt Lake City campus. The role offers a substantial total compensation package and a moving/sign-on bonus to facilitate relocation.
The position requires NCCAA certification, Utah licensure, and strong communication skills. Expect duties spanning preoperative evaluation, anesthesia administration, intraoperative monitoring, and post‑operative care with comprehensive documentation.
Our total compensation ranges from $285,000 to $304,000 annually which includes a 6% employer contribution plus up to 4% 403(b) match. We will offer a $30,000 moving stipend/signon bonus to make relocation efforts effortless.
11 weeks off 1st year, then 10 weeks off annually, including vacation, holidays, personal leave, sick and CME time.

Essential Functions under Medical Direction:
Certification by the National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants (NCCAA) as a Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA); current professional licensure in the state of Utah; and demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills required.
The CAA certification is granted after successful completion of an accredited anesthesiologist assistant program.
This position is patient-sensitive and must fulfill all associated vaccination requirements, or be approved for an exemption, prior to the first day of work.
