The ideal candidate has strong California WC knowledge, 3+ years' experience, and solid communication skills. A remote option may be available, with a focus on collaboration with attorneys and clients.

Qualifications

• Requires ABA Approved Paralegal Certification.
• Minimum 3 years in workers' compensation claim litigation; knowledge of California law.
• Research and interpret case law, statutes, regulations for practical solutions.
• Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with diverse audiences.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook; familiarity with EAMS and case management software.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough legal research on case law, statutes, and regulations and synthesize findings.
• Draft pleadings, petitions and other legal documents for hearings and litigation.
• Analyze medical-legal reports to assist case prep.
• Review and summarize medical records for case development.
• Prepare QME letters and related docs.
• Summarize deposition transcripts and inform case strategy.
• Maintain proficiency in Microsoft Office; learn case management software.
• Navigate EAMS to support case management and documentation.
