Job summary

SourcePro Search, LLC is partnered with an established California-based law firm seeking a California-licensed attorney for civil litigation and creditors' rights practice. The role combines courtroom representation, document review, signing, case oversight, and settlement negotiations.

The ideal candidate will appear in court, handle a high volume of filings, and independently manage litigation with support from an experienced legal team.

Qualifications

• Active California law license.
• 5–7 years of civil litigation experience.
• Experience appearing in court and handling hearings independently.
• Strong understanding of civil litigation procedures and filings.
• Ability to review and sign a high volume of documents accurately.
• Proven negotiation and settlements experience.
• Experience coaching or mentoring colleagues.
• Strong communication, research, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal tech tools.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in court hearings and related civil litigation matters.
• Review, approve, and sign a high volume of pleadings, motions, and documents.
• Manage litigation matters in line with California rules and filing requirements.
• Review discovery materials and determine appropriate legal actions.
• Negotiate settlements with various parties.
• Prepare and file legal documents and ensure timely filings.
• Communicate case progress with the Managing Attorney and clients.
• Conduct legal research and assess potential outcomes using statutes and precedents.
• Coordinate with outside counsel as needed.
• Assist with client audits and compliance requirements.
• Stay updated on changes in debt collection laws and related matters.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to colleagues when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate case records and manage multiple deadlines.
