Job summary

CSG Consultants, Inc. is seeking CEQA Project Manager candidates in Southern California for a full-time, hybrid role within the Planning Services Group and Environmental Planning Practice.

The candidate will manage CEQA documentation, coordinate with clients and teams, and contribute to business development across California. Strong writing, communication, and project management skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or in process in environmental sciences, geography, planning, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of professional experience with a government agency or firm in environmental analysis and reporting.
• Familiar with CEQA and active roles in coordination and management of the various levels of study.
• Understanding of CEQA, applicable processing requirements and related guidelines.
• Experience as a key project manager on environmental review/analysis assignments with clients and interdisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of the 20 topical areas of Appendix G of the CEQA Guidelines and related state guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a Project Manager on projects and proposal pursuits.
• Preparation of environmental documentation for development, infrastructure, and policy projects.
• Hands-on management of CEQA studies including exemptions, IS/MNDs, EIRs and related CEQA work.
• Ensure CEQA requirements are met within prescribed guidelines and timelines.
• Act as client contact for CEQA deliverables and maintain client satisfaction.
• Develop schedules, scopes, and budgets to drive project success.
• Incorporate sub-consultant reports and research into environmental documents.
• Contribute to business development, proposals, and client outreach.
