Job summary

Octapharma Plasma is hiring a Center Operations Manager in Tulare, CA to assist center leadership with daily donor center operations and ensure training compliance. You will plan, implement and execute training programs while driving quality, safety and regulatory adherence.

You will mentor staff, manage audits, facilities, inventory and payroll records, promoting a positive workplace aligned with company policies and driving operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor’s degree or up to 3 years of related experience preferred.
  • 1–3 years of operations and/or process management/supervisory experience preferred.
  • 3 years of people management, including recruiting and training, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (FDA SOPs, OSHA, CLIA, GMP).
  • Host and support internal and external audits and corrective actions.
  • Maintain certifications, licenses and audit records for regulatory compliance.
  • Mentor staff and promote safety, health, environmental and quality policies.
  • Manage donor center facilities, assets and equipment for cleanliness and readiness.
  • Oversee product inventory, procurement efficiency and purchase orders.
  • Safeguard product integrity and storage equipment and handle nonconforming products.
  • Analyze and manage operational KPIs to drive goals and quality initiatives.
  • Lead employee performance management, development plans and actions.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive workplace aligned with HR policies.
  • Manage payroll records, scheduling and staff allocation.
  • Cultivate donor relationships and collaborate with corporate on marketing initiatives.
  • Facilitate routine staff and leadership meetings.
  • Report irregularities to supervisor; coordinate CAPA with departments and vendors.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

This position assists the Center leadership with managing daily donor center operations and ensures training compliance through planning and execution. This role assists the Center leadership with managing daily donor center operations and is responsible for the planning, implementation, and execution of training compliance.



This Is What You'll Do


  • Ensure full compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., FDA approved SOPs, OSHA, CLIA, GMP), maintaining the highest production, safety, and quality standards.

  • Host and support internal and external audits to ensure timely responses and corrective actions.

  • Maintain accurate certifications, licenses, training documentation, and audit records to guarantee regulatory compliance.

  • Mentor staff and promote adherence to safety, health, environmental, and quality policies; mitigate and report unsafe conditions.

  • Manage donor center facilities, assets, and equipment to ensure cleanliness, preventive maintenance, and operational readiness.

  • Oversee product inventory management, procurement efficiency, and purchase order submission in alignment with company practices.

  • Safeguard the integrity of products and storage equipment, ensuring compliance with SOPs, proper handling of unsuitable products, and mitigation of equipment failures.

  • Analyze and manage operational KPIs to drive production goals, cost optimization, process improvements, and quality initiatives.

  • Lead employee performance management, including evaluations, development plans, corrective actions, and employment decisions (hiring, promotions, terminations, etc.).

  • Foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture aligned with organizational values and ensure adherence to HR policies and procedures.

  • Manage payroll records, scheduling, and staff allocation to optimize operational efficiency.

  • Cultivate positive donor relationships to drive retention, referrals, and donor growth, while collaborating with corporate teams on marketing and advertising initiatives.

  • Facilitate routine staff and leadership meetings.

  • Keep immediate supervisor informed of any irregularities within the Center.

  • Partner with corporate departments and vendors to coordinate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), maximize operational efficiency, and ensure timely product shipments.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.



Minimum Requirements


  • High Diploma or GED.

  • Bachelor’s degree or up to 3 years of related experience preferred.

  • One (1) to three(3) years of operations and/or process management/supervisory experience preferred.

  • Three (3) years of people management, including recruiting and training, preferred.

  • Ability to us Office software preferred.

  • Knowledge of fiscal management and/or budgeting preferred.

Physical Requirements


  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods for up to four (4) hours at a time.

  • Ability to tug, lift, and pull up to thirty-five (35) pounds.

  • Ability to bend, stoop or kneel.

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

  • Occupational exposure to blood borne pathogens.

  • Ability to view video display terminal less than 18\" away from face for extended periods of time, up to four (4) hours at a time.

  • The employee is required to enter an environment with a temperature of -40°C for short periods of time.

  • Ability to use a computer and other office equipment.

  • Ability to use assistive devices if needed for mobility or communication.

  • Ability to work daytime and evening hours, weekends, holidays, extended shifts and periodically after hours.

Pay Transparency

The expected base pay for this position at hiring is $40.78-$54.38 -$67.97 with a 14% bonus potential. Please note this wage range reflects what Octapharma Plasma expects to pay for this position at the listed location as of the time of this posting. Individual base pay for a successful candidate within this range is determined by qualifications, skill level, experience, competencies and other relevant factors.
