Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a C2 Systems Platform and Infrastructure Engineer to lead a team of cloud professionals and modernize our DoD-focused infrastructure. You will design, deploy, and harden containerized platforms spanning data centers, the tactical edge, and cloud components to support mission-critical C2 systems.

You will work with Kubernetes, GitLab CI, Jenkins, ArgoCD/Flux, Terraform, and Ansible within secure environments, and you must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Experience operating Kubernetes at production scale.
• Experience with CI/CD and GitOps pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins, ArgoCD/Flux).
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform) and configuration management (Ansible).
• Experience with observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenTelemetry).
• Experience designing systems in secure, air-gapped or DDIL environments.
• Ability to translate mission requirements into resilient, automated designs.
• Secret clearance eligibility and DoD security familiarity.

C2 Systems Platform and Infrastructure Engineer

The Opportunity:

Here, you'll oversee our team of experience d professionals and use cutting-edge enterprise cloud platforms to guide your clients as they modernize their IT infrastructure and meet their most challenging missions. You'll collaborate closely with fellow cloud architects and engineers spe cia lizing in GitLab CI, Jenkins, and ArgoCD or Flux to design, deploy, and harden the containerized foundation beneath next-generation C2 systems, from enterprise data center s to the tactical edge and cloud solution components. You'll have the chance to broaden your experience within a DevOps framework to create and manage container apps and use products like Kubernetes to further the mission. You Have:

• Experience operating Kubernetes at production scale, including cluster deployment, day-2 operations, upgrades, and security hardening
• Experience with CI / CD and GitOps pipelines using tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, and ArgoCD or Flux
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and configuration management using Terraform and Ansible
• Experience implementing and operating an observability stack such as Pro met heus, Grafana, and ELK or OpenTele met ry
• Experience designing and deploying systems in secure, air-gapped, or DDIL environments
• Ability to translate mission and reliability requirements into resilient, automated platform designs
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree in CS or Engineering and 8+ years of experience in infrastructure or platform engineering, including technical leadership on production systems, or 12+ years of experience in infrastructure or platform engineering, including technical leadership on production systems, in lieu of a degree
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II Security+ CE Certification

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with service mesh technologies such as Istio, Linkerd, or Consul, for traffic management, mTLS, and observability
• Experience deploying and sustaining containerized platforms in DoD environments, including Platform One, Big Bang, or Iron Bank
• Experience engineering for the tactical edge and hardening deployments for DDIL and disconnected operations
• Experience with C2, ISR, or other mission-critical DoD systems and their operational constraints
• Experience implementing DevSecOps practices, including container scanning, STIG compliance, and policy enforcement such as OPA or Gatekeeper, and Kyverno
• Experience with secrets management and Zero T rus t patterns such as HashiCorp Vault and SPIFFE or SPIRE
• Experience achieving and maintaining an Authority to Operate ( ATO ) , continuous ATO, or RMF accreditation
• Secret clearance
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator ( CKA ) Certification
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Asso cia te or similar Cloud Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $112,900.00 to $257,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
