Job summary

Ace Hardware Home Services, Inc. is seeking an HVAC Install Apprentice in Tyler, TX. You will work with Lead Installers to learn the HVAC trade and build a long-term career in residential systems installation.

Training is provided as part of a structured program, with opportunities to advance to HVAC Installer and Service Technician roles, and a comprehensive benefits package. This role emphasizes customer service and safety on job sites.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and desire to learn a skilled trade.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in attics, crawl spaces, and outdoor conditions.
• Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist with residential HVAC system installations.
• Help remove and replace furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and related equipment.
• Load, unload, and organize tools, materials, and equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe job site.
• Learn proper installation procedures, electrical connections, and duct modifications.

What You’ll Do

As an HVAC Install Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced Lead Installers to learn the HVAC trade and develop the skills needed for a long-term career.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with residential HVAC system installations.
• Help remove and replace furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and related equipment.
• Load, unload, and organize tools, materials, and equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe job site.
• Learn proper installation procedures, electrical connections, and duct modifications.

• Deliver exceptional customer service while working in customers’ homes.

What You Need to Succeed

• Mechanical aptitude and desire to learn a skilled trade.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in attics, crawl spaces, and outdoor conditions.
• Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn.
• Previous construction, maintenance, warehouse, trade school, or mechanical experience is a plus but not required.
