Job summary

Asbury Automotive Group is seeking an Automotive Service Technician (C-Level) in MA to perform preventive maintenance and light repairs. You will inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicle systems, using basic tools and manufacturer guidelines to ensure guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Must possess basic automotive repair knowledge and a valid driver's license.
• D level tech experience is preferred; automotive technical school is a plus.
• Must pass pre-employment screening (background and drug test).

Responsibilities

• Perform routine vehicle inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair basic suspension, brakes, and steering systems.
• Perform tire services, TPMS, and routine alignments as needed.
• Document work performed on repair orders with accuracy.
• Stay current with factory bulletins and recall campaigns.
• Communicate effectively with guests and team members.
• Adhere to safety, OSHA, and environmental regulations.
• Maintain tools and workshop area in good condition.

Automotive Service Technician (C-Level)

$20.00 - $25.00 per Hour + Weekly Pay + Comprehensive Benefits

(Wage is comprised of base salary and % of department profit to be determined as part of pay plan). The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type of years and experience within the industry, education, ect.)

The "C" Level Technician is responsible for completing preventive maintenance and light line repairs independently with no technical supervision. This individual may also assist senior/master technicians with complex repairs.

• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance
• Perform basic suspension and steering diagnosis and repair, basic brake diagnosis and repair, alignments, tire repair, fluid maintenance exchange, tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) repairs /replacement battery check and installation, manufacture recalls if certification level required is obtained
• Makes accurate use of the multi-pointinspection form on each vehicle
• Perform work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory instructions and standards
• Stay up to date by reading and understanding factory bulletins, covering campaigns, updates and recalls
• Document all work performed and recommended on the repair order
• Examine assigned vehicles to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended
• Understands and completes required training for compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.
• Utilize product and technical training as assigned by the manufacturer and management
• Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs and schools
• Continuously expand your knowledge of new technology to gain additional practice
• Automotive technical school certifications preferred but not required
• Previous automotive experience as a "D" level tech required
• Must have good prior work or school attendance
• Must have a positive attitude and be a team player
• Must be at least eighteen years of age
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must have basic tools
• Must pass pre-employment screening (background and drug test)
