C.T. Technologist ($12,000 Sign-on Bonus)

Job Summary / Purpose

Competently performs prescribed CT imaging procedures under the supervision of a physician, exercising professional judgment and maintaining ethical standards. Provides patient care and demonstrates critical thinking skills necessary for successful procedure completion.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Verify patient orders, assess patient abilities, and explain the procedure.
  2. Prepare and administer contrast media or medications as ordered within scope of practice.
  3. Select appropriate equipment, set technical parameters, and gather supplies.
  4. Follow radiation safety standards, including 'Image Gently' and 'Image Wisely' protocols, and use protective gear as needed.
  5. Obtain and document patient history to assist in image interpretation.
  6. Identify and resolve image quality issues, including repositioning and re-procedures.
  7. Assist with interventional procedures, ensuring aseptic techniques and patient education.
  8. Perform equipment checks and report malfunctions.
  9. Check supplies for expiration and report shortages or issues.
  10. Report incidents and safety concerns via the CHI system.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Graduate of a Radiologic Technology program.
  • BLS certification upon hire.
  • ARRT Board Certified in Radiology.
  • Valid Ohio Medical Radiography or General Radiology Technologist Permit.
  • ARRT Board Certified in CT within 1 year of hire.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Venipuncture skills as required.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver accurate results timely.
  • Self-motivated with ownership of projects.
  • Team player with strong follow-up and customer service skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience as a CT technologist.
  • Graduate of an accredited CT program.
