POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a Convenience Store Cook to join our dedicated staff! You willassistin the preparation and cooking of on-site food items. The ideal candidate for this position haspreviousexperience in Quick service or convenience food preparation and is passionate about cooking and thrives in customer service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Cooking food items according to recipes and standards, and ensuring they are cooked to the correct temperature
• Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen, and ensuring food is handled and stored properly
• Stocking ingredients and supplies, and performing inventory checks
• Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
• Maintain solid knowledge of all food products
• Providing excellent customer service and addressing customer needs
• Transport supplies from the storeroom and stock in designated areas
• Prepare all menu items following recipes and yield guide
• Ensure all products are rotating on a first-in, first-out philosophy
• Ensure all requisitions are processed properly and placed in designated area
• Properly label and detail products to ensure safekeeping and sanitation
• Maintain complete knowledge of andcomply withall departmental policies/service procedures/standards
• Organize all the various prep items needed from different areas to ensure that all items are in place and ready for service
• Assistingin the training of new cooks
• Ensure daily cleaning and maintenance ismaintainedto health standards.
• Maintain work area and kitchen space to health and clean/neat/org standards.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid Southern Nevada Health District Food Handlers Card (or ability to obtain).

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules,operatingand maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also berequired.

REASONING ABILITY
