Acquire Me is seeking a C++ Storage Systems Engineer for its quantitative trading team in New York and Chicago. You will design and optimize high‑performance storage and data infrastructure to move, store and access vast data with ultra‑low latency.

You’ll work on I/O, memory usage, concurrency, and profiling across distributed storage, filesystems, and networking, collaborating with engineers from top tech background. Finance experience is not required.

Qualifications

• Strong professional C++ experience.
• Excellent systems fundamentals across Linux, concurrency, memory and networking.
• Experience with storage engines, databases, filesystems or distributed storage.
• Strong understanding of performance optimization and profiling.
• Background from a high-calibre engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and build high-performance storage systems in modern C++.
• Optimize I/O, memory usage, concurrency and data access paths.
• Work on distributed storage and large-scale data infrastructure.
• Profile systems and identify performance bottlenecks across the stack.
• Solve problems involving caching, filesystems, networking and CPU/memory performance.
