Job summary

Acquire Me is seeking a C++ Storage Systems Engineer for its quantitative trading team in New York and Chicago. You will design and optimize high‑performance storage and data infrastructure to move, store and access vast data with ultra‑low latency.

You’ll work on I/O, memory usage, concurrency, and profiling across distributed storage, filesystems, and networking, collaborating with engineers from top tech background. Finance experience is not required.

• Strong professional C++ experience.
• Excellent systems fundamentals across Linux, concurrency, memory and networking.

C++ Storage Systems Engineer | Quantitative Trading | New York / Chicago

We are working with a leading quantitative trading firm looking for a C++ engineer to work on high-performance storage and data infrastructure.

The team builds systems responsible for moving, storing and accessing large volumes of data with extremely demanding requirements around latency, throughput and reliability. This is a strong fit for engineers coming from high-performance storage, database or distributed systems teams in Big Tech or similarly technical environments.

What you’ll work on:

• Design and build high-performance storage systems in modern C++
• Optimize I/O, memory usage, concurrency and data access paths
• Work on distributed storage and large-scale data infrastructure
