Greenfield Engineering, a Saalex Company, is seeking a Journeyman Software Developer to work onsite at Patuxent River, MD. The role requires 110k–125k USD annually and a Strong background in C++ within an Agile environment.

The position emphasizes design, development, testing, and maintenance of software applications, with opportunities to work with Docker, Jenkins, AWS, and modern web frameworks. A Bachelor’s degree and 3–10 years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 3-10 years of relevant software development experience.
• Experience developing in C++ and debugging in Agile environments.
• Solid understanding of the SDLC and software testing practices.
• Active Secret clearance required for access to government facilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications using modern programming practices.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in C++ and other OO languages.
• Participate in Agile processes including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve defects to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement technical solutions.
