Job summary

MORSE Corp is seeking highly motivated C++ Software Engineers to join our Cambridge, MA team, supporting DoD customers with hardware-software interfaces, simulation, and real-time capabilities. You will work with engineers and data scientists to design, develop, and deliver embedded software that meets high standards of quality, scalability, and reliability.

Responsibilities include designing scalable software, code reviews, and collaborating across cross-functional teams to deliver

Qualifications

• US citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance (Secret/TS/TSI)
• 5+ years of software development experience
• Experience with C++ and Python
• Strong understanding of hardware, embedded systems, and sensors
• Experience with Docker, Docker-compose, or Kubernetes
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies (Scrum or Kanban) and microservice architecture
• Strong communication skills and self-motivation
• Leadership experience or interest in leading technical teams

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable, efficient, and reliable software applications using C++ and Python
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and pair programming to ensure high-quality code
• Interface with hardware including boards, sensors, cameras, GPS receivers, radios, and microcontrollers
• Stay up-to-date with the latest software engineering trends, tools, and technologies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software products
• Contribute to development of new codebases emphasizing object-orientation, modularity, and maintainability
