Job summary

DEPLOY seeks a Software Engineer (Junior to Mid-Level) for an in-office role in Huntsville, Alabama. You will contribute to mission-critical software for a complex defense system, primarily in C++, with potential Ada work.

The role emphasizes robust unit testing and quality practices in a fast-paced environment. You will review tests, design and implement new unit tests, and work with engineers, systems, QA, and customer representatives to improve reliability and maintainability of the software

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as CS/CE/SE/EE.
• Strong experience developing software in C++.
• Experience with unit testing and software quality practices.
• Ability to work in a customer-facing, collaborative environment.
• Active Secret security clearance or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, and maintain software primarily in C++.
• Support Ada software development efforts as required.
• Review existing unit tests and evaluate test coverage.
• Design, develop, and implement new unit tests for existing components.
• Improve automated testing to support daily builds and regression testing.
• Analyze defects, troubleshoot, and implement fixes.
• Participate in design and code reviews with cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with software, systems, QA, and DevOps engineers to improve quality.
• Contribute to documentation, testing standards, and best practices.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives for reliability and sustainment.
