Job summary

KION Group is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Automation Commissioning Team in Lainate (MI). The role focuses on building robust C# applications that interface with AGV/AMR fleets and ASRS solutions, while contributing to software architecture and system integration.

You will collaborate with Controls and Commissioning Engineers, develop front‑end components with Angular or Vue.js, and engage in cross‑functional commissioning phases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronic, Computer, Telecommunication or Automation Engineering.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Familiarity with AGV/AMR or ASRS systems is a plus.
• Willingness to travel nationally and internationally about 50% of time.
• Proficiency in English at minimum B2 level.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain C# applications using modern language features.
• Contribute to software architecture with SOLID, layered design and DI.
• Integrate software with automation equipment and AGV/AMR/ASRS systems via protocols and APIs.
• Collaborate with Controls and Commissioning Engineers for seamless interaction.
• Develop front‑end components using Angular or Vue.js for intuitive UX.
• Review PLC logic (Siemens TIA Portal, Beckhoff TwinCAT) when needed.
• Support end‑to‑end commissioning through cross‑functional teams.
