Job summary

Tyson Foods is hiring for an Operator Role in Dallas, TX. This full-time position offers night shifts with a shift differential and requires readiness to work in cold, damp environments and perform various packaging and processing tasks.

The role includes operating panels, using a handheld scanner, and performing setup/teardown, with duties spanning from forklift operation to strict adherence to safety and GMP/SQF standards.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job.
• Willingness to lift 20–67 lbs occasionally and 5–77 lbs continuously.
• Able to work in cold and damp environments (22–40°F) for 8–10 hours per day.
• Willingness to work overtime and/or weekends as needed.
• Willingness and ability to become forklift certified (if applicable).
• Must pass safety and food safety tests and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate touch illustrated operating panel, safeties, and switches.
• Perform small mechanical adjustments.
• Use handheld scanner.
• Visually inspect product for deficiencies.
• Set up and tear down area at start/end of processing.
• Perform general housekeeping duties in the department.
• May operate forklift.
• Comply with safety, food safety, GMP and SQF requirements.
• May use SAP if transferred/rotated.
• Read/write on-the-job paperwork and communicate across management levels.
• Possess basic computer skills as applicable.
• Demonstrate attention to detail.
