Job summary

Bunge is seeking a C Operator for its Decatur, IN plant to safely load trucks and rail cars, transfer oil to the packaging plant, and maintain sanitation while upholding a strong food-safety culture.

Responsibilities include operating under GMP, reporting safety concerns, and contributing to continuous site improvements. The role requires outdoor work, teamwork, and flexibility across 2nd/3rd shifts.

Qualifications

  • Basic computer and mechanical skills are required.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work safely.
  • Must work outdoors in all weather and be able to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Team-oriented, with flexibility for overtime, weekends, and holidays.
  • Roles include following safety policies and GMP practices.

A Day in the Life:

This position is located in the Bunge North America soybean processing plant in Decatur, IN. The C Operator is responsible for safely and accurately loading trucks and rail cars. Employees must actively participate in Bunge’s Employee Safety Policy and maintain a safe work environment for self and all employees.

Position Details:

7p-7a, 4 on/4 off schedule
Hourly pay rate: $30.94

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Load and unload trucks and rail cars
  • Transfer oil to the packaging plant and obtain samples
  • Wash rail cars
  • Responsible to adhere to the Food Safety Culture to provide safe product to consumers
  • Report any concerns with safe food practices
  • Perform department sanitation duties
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Must have a commitment to supply safe food, maintain a food safety culture within the site, continually improve the site’s food safety management system, and comply with customer and regulatory requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Basic computer and mechanical skills

  • Ability to work safely and follow policies and procedures
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Willing to work overtime, flexible hours, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Previous experience in an industrial environment
