Job summary

The Planet Group has partnered with a Greater Chicago Area company to locate a Full Stack .NET Developer to join a small, collaborative development team supporting a well-established manufacturing business. You'll work on internal and customer-facing web applications, with an initial emphasis on backend development and data processing.

This is a hands-on role for someone who likes owning solutions from development through testing and production support.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on C# full stack development experience.
• Strong SQL skills and experience building or integrating APIs.
• Experience supporting production applications and testing your own work.
• Comfort working on a small team where developers take ownership across the application lifecycle.
• Manufacturing experience preferred; financial applications experience is also relevant.

Responsibilities

• Build and enhance web applications using C# and .NET.
• Develop and maintain APIs, data integrations, and SQL-based solutions.
• Work across the application stack, including frontend features and backend data processing.
• Troubleshoot production issues and deliver fixes through testing and deployment.
• Partner with the team to design practical, end-to-end solutions for business and customer needs.

Requirements

• Roughly 3-5 years of hands-on C# full stack development experience.
• Strong SQL skills and experience building or integrating APIs.
• Experience supporting production applications and testing your own work.

• Entity Framework experience is preferred.
• Experience with application security, compliance, or data encryption is a plus.
• Manufacturing experience is preferred; financial applications experience is also relevant.
