Job summary

Marshall University South Charleston is hiring a Part-Time GA for Fall 2026 to assist faculty in the Educational Doctoral Program. Responsibilities include supervising laboratories under supervision, grading quizzes, homework, and other projects, and helping with course and research duties.

The GA will collaborate with faculty to support teaching, scholarship, and program initiatives, develop instructional resources, support student engagement, and assist with event planning and research

Qualifications

• Earned master’s degree in education or a related field.
• Admission to and continued enrollment in the Ed.S. or Ed.D. major in Curriculum and Instruction.
• Basic proficiency with computer applications and educational technologies.

Responsibilities

• Assist faculty with tasks such as supervising laboratories under their supervision, grading quizzes, homework and other projects.

Job Description Summary

The Faculty Support GA will work collaboratively with faculty to support teaching, scholarship, and program initiatives within the Department of Curriculum and Instruction. Responsibilities may include serving as a teaching assistant, developing instructional and program resources, supporting student engagement, assisting with event planning, participating in research-related activities, and completing other duties as assigned. Adhere to Marshall University and the College of Education and Professional Development’s professional expectations, FERPA requirements, confidentiality expectations, and communication practices.
