Visa Hunt is seeking a skilled C++ engineer to build lean, high-performance software components. You will craft robust C++ systems, analyze performance, and own tests. You’ll mentor teammates and help define modern best practices for the team and the organization.

The role emphasizes ownership, fast iteration, and collaborating across distributed teams, with remote work by default and on-site collaboration where it matters.

Qualifications

• Strong fundamentals in C/C++ with modern concepts and tooling.
• Experience with databases, especially NoSQL.
• Linux is the primary development environment and the command line is used daily.
• Understanding web technologies like HTTP, JSON and XML as part of system design.
• Experience with cloud and distributed systems; large-scale, parallel environments.

Responsibilities

• Implement efficient, maintainable C++ systems.
• Analyze systems, hunt bugs, and write automated tests.
• Mentor less experienced colleagues and contribute to technical discussions.
• Define and evolve modern best practices for the team and organization.
