Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services Limited in the United States is seeking a C/C++ Developer to design, implement, and test software for Linux-based embedded/real-time systems. You will collaborate with Product Management, write unit tests with Google Test, and help drive transitions from proof-of-concept to production with a focus on quality, performance, and cost

Qualifications

• Proficient in C and C++ with strong debugging skills.
• Experience with CI/CD automation.
• Experience developing for Linux and embedded/RTOS environments.
• Experience working on Agile teams.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered products and workflows using LLMs, retrieval systems, and orchestration.
• Architect agentic systems with planning, memory management, grounding, and safety controls.
• Lead production deployments by establishing best practices for reliability, observability, security, governance, and cost optimization.
• Develop scalable AI applications and developer productivity tools using modern AI frameworks and orchestration platforms.
• Partner with Product Management to elaborate features, stories, and test strategy for each initiative.
• Create technical design and assign work to developers.
• Develop complex stories in C and write unit tests in C++ (Google Test).
• Be a human quality gate by leading code and design reviews.
• Collaborate with other Principals and Leads to define interfaces between systems.
• Advise on implementation strategy for successful deployment.
• Implement development process improvements and automation.
• Coach and develop junior employees.
• Deliver department and external presentations.
