Job summary

The Boeing Company in Long Beach, CA is looking for mid to senior level Mechanical System Design & Analysis Engineers for the C-17 Sustainment Program. You will design and maintain aircraft mechanical systems such as hydraulics, flight control actuators, landing gear, environmental control, fuel and cargo handling, and work with USAF customers and field engineers.

The role requires leading small teams, performing root-cause analyses, mentoring engineers, and handling multiple tasks under time

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, Aeronautical or Materials)
• 3+ years in aircraft mechanical systems design, production, fleet support or sustainment
• 3+ years working with internal and external customers
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

Responsibilities

• Develop/mechanically design and maintain drawings and specs
• Support analyses and design reviews
• Follow processes for design/manufacture of mechanical commodities
• Review supplier capabilities for source selection
• Support sustainment and documentation of aircraft systems with USAF and field engineers
• Lead small teams to establish goals and manage projects
