Job summary

Altus AFB is seeking a Simulator Maintenance Technician II to perform maintenance on C-17 TS simulator devices and related equipment at Altus AFB. The role requires interpreting manuals and technical docs and carrying out readiness tests and inspections.

The incumbent will troubleshoot complex equipment, perform calibrations and tests, and maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders. Prior hands-on experience and a technical degree or certificate are required.

Qualifications

Requires a technical college degree or certificate in electronics, electrical technology, electromechanical systems, computer technology, aviation maintenance, industrial maintenance, or related field.
2 years of hands-on related experience or a total of 4 years combining education and work experience.
Experience may be considered for equivalency of education and experience.
Must be able to perform essential duties and meet site requirements.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled, preventive, and unscheduled maintenance on flight simulation training devices and related equipment.
Troubleshoot and resolve routine to complex equipment malfunctions.
Interpret maintenance manuals, technical orders, schematics, drawings and other technical docs.
Conduct daily readiness tests, pre- and post-operational checks, and maintain records.
