Job summary

CAE Simuflite in Anchorage, Alaska, seeks an experienced C-130J Instructor to serve as the KAM for the C-130J training program, reporting to the C-130J Lead Instructor. The role covers delivery of pilot initial qualification courses, upgrades and currency training, and collaboration with CAE staff and 37SQN.

The successful candidate will prepare, deliver, assess and maintain training materials, contribute to Aviation Safety Management, and support internal CAE initiatives as directed by the Lead

Qualifications

• qualificational criteria include being authorised by the Commanding Officer of RAAF Central Flying School as a competent Simulator Pilot Instructor.
• Hold or be able to gain a Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment or recognised equivalent experience.
• Minimum of two years Military Qualified Flying Instructor or Operational Flying Instructor experience in an aircrew training environment, or 1000 command hours on multi engine, multi crew and tactical transport aircraft (C-27J, C-130J or similar).
• Complete or be able to complete ground training segments of the C-130J Pilot Conversion Course.
• Hold Australian Citizenship and be eligible for an Australian Defence Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, deliver, assess and evaluate training and assessment materials, including classroom and simulator delivery.
• Liaise with CAE staff and 37SQN as required to support training operations.
• Contribute to Aviation Safety Management related to the training platform and support internal CAE initiatives as directed by the Lead Instructor.
