Job summary

Lynden Air Cargo seeks an experienced pilot to serve as First Officer, supporting the PIC in safe, efficient flight operations across Alaska, the U.S., and international routes. You will safeguard cargo, crew, and aircraft while upholding regulatory requirements.

Requirements include 5,000+ total flight hours, ATP-CTP or ATP, multi-engine rating, and a valid FAA First Class Medical. Expect extensive travel, simulator evaluation, and precise record-keeping.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5,000 hours total time; international or Alaska flying experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED; college degree preferred.
• FAA Airline Transport Pilot certificate, or ATP-CTP with required aeronautical experience; multi-engine airplane rating; valid FAA First Class Medical.
• Successful completion of a simulator flight evaluation; ability to read/interpret procedures, journals, and safety regulations.
• Capable of writing clear reports, maintaining flight records, and presenting information to managers, clients, and the public.
• Ability to perform calculations involving discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, volume, algebra and geometry; strong judgment.
• Willing to work days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays; unrestricted domestic and international travel.
• Current driver’s license and valid passport; eligible for a SIDA badge and RapBack verification.
• Post-offer drug test and background investigation; random drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Serve as First Officer supporting the PIC to ensure safe, efficient flight operations, safeguarding cargo, crew, and aircraft.
• Operate in accordance with the Employee Handbook, General Operations Manual, and applicable federal regulations.
• Adhere to aircraft operating procedures, execute PIC directives, and complete required forms, logs, and reports accurately.
• Verify the aircraft is properly equipped and airworthy for each mission; maintain alertness and sound decision-making.
• Transport mail and freight throughout Alaska, the United States, and internationally, including into remote and austere environments.
• Assist with loading/unloading as needed; travel globally to support the fleet and operational demands.
