Job Title: Army Transport Aircraft Mechanic (C-12 / King Air) - FAA A&P Certified
Perform organizational and intermediate level maintenance on C-12 aircraft.
Qualifications and Experience
- Valid FAA A&P Certificate is required.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- For different levels of experience, the Union CBA specifies:
- AM-1: Two (2) years A&P experience, with preference for two or more years of C-12 experience.
- AM-2: Five (5) years of C-12 / King Air A&P mechanic experience.
- AM-3: Ten (10) years of A&P experience and thirteen (13) years of C-12 experience.
Responsibilities
- Service, troubleshoot, repair, and modify aircraft systems to ensure airworthiness, including avionics, electrical, engines, flight controls, and airframe components.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment for repairs.
- Maintain aircraft records in accordance with DA PAM 738-751 and contract terms.
- Understand and utilize computerized maintenance software.
- Perform aircraft recovery, engine run, and taxi operations (certification within 12 months required).
- Interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and specifications for repairs.
Additional Requirements
- Valid Driver's License.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US Govt SECRET Security Clearance, US Citizenship required.
- Willingness to work shifts and rotate as per Union CBA.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to work shifts or rotate for multiple shift operations.
- Compliance with FAR 65.83 for recent experience.
- Fluent in English; reliable, self-motivated, able to handle stressful situations.
- Physical ability to move about aircraft, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in various positions.
