Job description

Job Title: C-12 / King Air Transport Aircraft Mechanic (FAA A&P)

Perform organizational and intermediate level maintenance on C-12 aircraft.

Experience Levels:
  • AM-1: Two (2) years of A&P experience required; two (2) or more years of C-12 experience preferred.
  • AM-2: Five (5) years of C-12 / King Air A&P mechanic experience required.
  • AM-3: Ten (10) years of A&P mechanic experience and thirteen (13) years of C-12 experience required, as per Union CBA.
Responsibilities:
  • Service, troubleshoot, repair, and modify aircraft systems to ensure airworthiness, including avionics, electrical, engines, flight controls, and airframe components.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and equipment such as shears, sheet metal brake, welding equipment, rivet gun, and drills.
  • Maintain aircraft records as outlined in DA PAM 738-751.
  • Record discrepancies and perform repairs according to approved procedures and contract terms.
  • Understand and operate computerized maintenance software.
  • Perform aircraft recovery missions as necessary.
  • Conduct engine runs or taxi operations; certification within 12 months of employment required.
  • Interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and specifications for repairs or replacements.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid FAA A&P Certificate.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain US Govt SECRET Security Clearance and facility credentials.
  • Pass a physical examination for operations within 10 feet of aircraft, with periodic renewals (not to exceed 5 years).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Compliance with FAA regulations.
  • Possession of a valid FAA A&P license with recent experience as per FAR 65.83.
  • Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
  • Reliable, self-motivated, capable of handling stress and timelines professionally.
  • Physical ability to move about the aircraft, lift up to 50 lbs., and work in various positions.
