Job summary

TekWissen Group is recruiting a Buying Professional for an onsite role in Palo Alto, CA, lasting six months as a temporary assignment. The job focuses on managing PRs and POs, lifecycle analytics, and supplier relations.

The ideal candidate has about 4 years of experience with SAP Purchasing, Power BI, and Excel, plus strong PO process knowledge and willingness to engage in early global calls. Bachelor’s degree required and this is an onsite 7:00 AM–4:00 PM shift.

Qualifications

• Years of experience: ~4 years (Level 2 role).
• SAP Purchasing Module within the last year is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, etc.).
• Experience using shared drives and working knowledge of Power BI.
• Strong understanding of the Purchase Order (PO) process and part lifecycle.
• Vendor/supplier relationships management.
• Experience working with SQEs, quality and engineer teams.
• Professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Flexibility to support occasional early meetings (e.g., 6:00 AM global calls).

Responsibilities

• Manage purchase requisitions (PRs), purchase orders (POs), and related order transactions.
• Process purchase requisitions per approval thresholds with accurate data for company processes.
• Analyze material availability and manage full lifecycle including order shipping and tracking, price verification, RMA, and on-time supply.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and use approved contract partners for competitive terms.
• Drive inventory optimization, reducing excess and obsolete inventory.
• Manage part revisions and lead related rework activities.
• Maintain proper document archiving per local regulations and policy for data integrity.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and procurement standardization.
• Support daily operations including PO management.
• SAP experience is required.

Job Description:

• Manage purchase requisitions (PRs), purchase orders (POs), and related order transactions.
• Process purchase requisitions (in accordance with approval thresholds) and ensure all required information is accurately maintained tcompany process
• Analyze material availability and manage the full Plifecycle, including order shipping and tracking, content verification, accurate price, RMA, and on-time material supply aligned with demand.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and utilize approved contract partners tsecure competitive Terms & Conditions
• Drive inventory optimization initiatives, including reduction of excess and obsolete (E&O) inventory
• Managing part revisions and leading the implementation of related rework activities.
• Maintain proper document archiving in accordance with local regulations and company policy tensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives and procurement process standardization efforts, ensuring relevant project information is communicated tmaintain alignment and visibility among all stakeholders.
• Support daily operational activities, including but not limited tpurchase order management.
• SAP experience is required
