Onward Search is seeking a Buyer to support a defense team in a temporary, on-site role in Roanoke, VA. You will contribute to critical procurement activities for military and aerospace supply chains.

The role involves evaluating requisitions, obtaining quotes, negotiating terms, and maintaining supplier relationships while coordinating with planners to optimize costs and schedules. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's or Associate's degree with related experience and knowledge of FAR/DFARS and

• Bachelor's degree with 0–1 years of relevant experience or associate's degree with 2 years of experience.
• Knowledge of FAR/DFARS and aerospace or military industry standards.
• Understanding of products, military specifications, and federal acquisition regulations.
• On-site work environment.
• Ability to work effectively with suppliers and cross-department teams to ensure procurement success.

Responsibilities
