Job summary

Onward Search is partnering with a defense-focused client to fill an onsite Buyer (Warfighter) role in Roanoke, VA. The assignment lasts 27 to 52 weeks and supports procurement activities under FAR/DFARS.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree with 0–1 year of experience or an associate’s degree with 2 years, and will manage requisitions, enter POs, negotiate terms, and maintain supplier relationships to meet production schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 0–1 year of experience or an associate's degree with 2 years.
• Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS and aerospace or military standards.
• Familiarity with federal acquisition regulations and military specifications.
• Understanding of supply chain processes and procurement strategies.

Responsibilities

• Enter and manage purchase orders to support project timelines.
