Job Description

Performs a variety of para-professional and technical duties in the procurement of materials, supplies, services, and equipment in a centralized purchasing environment. Responsibilities include processing purchase orders and requisitions, resolving backorder issues and invoice discrepancies, greeting and assisting customers, and supporting front office duties such as procurement card checkout and vendor management system maintenance. Acts as a backup for other Buyer team members.

Qualifications

Required Education: Business administration coursework supplemented by an Associate degree in a related field or a High School diploma plus considerable experience in procurement or finance.

Required Work Experience: No previous experience required. Training and on-the-job experience will enable the incumbent to become proficient within three months of employment.
