Komline is seeking a Buyer to support procurement and supply chain activities across manufacturing operations in the US. The role collaborates with production, engineering, project management, suppliers, and operations to maintain schedules, inventory, and customer commitments while applying procurement best practices.

Responsibilities include creating and managing purchase orders, evaluating supplier quotes, tracking delivery performance, and maintaining ERP records.

Qualifications

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • 1–3 years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience preferred.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Create, issue, and maintain purchase orders for materials and services.
  • Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, and order status.
  • Evaluate supplier quotations, pricing, lead times, and terms.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and inventory teams to identify needs.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records and procurement documentation in the ERP.
  • Assist with supplier qualification, performance reviews, and relationships.
  • Generate purchasing reports for management as needed.
  • Travel occasionally to supplier locations and events.

This Opportunity:

TheBuyerplays a critical role by supporting procurement and supply chain activities to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, components, equipment, and services. The Buyer will work closely with production, engineering, project management, suppliers, and operations teams to support manufacturing schedules, inventory requirements, and customer commitments while maintaining strong supplier relationships and procurement best practices.

Responsibilities:
  • Create, issue, and maintain purchase orders for materials, equipment, and services required to support manufacturing and business operations
  • Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, and order status to ensure on-time receipt of purchased items
  • Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations, pricing, lead times, and terms to support purchasing decisions
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, project management, and inventory teams to identify procurement requirements and priorities
  • Communicate with suppliers regarding order acknowledgments, delivery commitments, quality concerns, and corrective actions
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier information, pricing data, and procurement documentation within the ERP system
  • Assist in resolving receiving discrepancies, invoice issues, quality concerns, and supplier performance challenges
  • Support inventory management initiatives by monitoring stock levels and replenishment requirements
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and supplier consolidation
  • Assist with supplier qualification, performance reviews, and ongoing supplier relationship management activities
  • Generate purchasing reports and provide procurement-related data to management as needed
  • May require occasional travel to supplier locations and industry events
Qualifications:
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field preferred
  • 1-3 years of purchasing, procurement, supply chain, inventory control, or manufacturing experience preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Desire to be a part of an entrepreneurial, energetic team and handle a wide range of responsibilities
  • Experience working within an ERP/MRP system
  • Possess excellent written and oral communication skills. Communicating effectively with people at all levels with internal and external stakeholders
  • Highly organized and able to work within rigid time constraints with superb attention to detail
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
  • Ability to handle competing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining accuracy, professionalism, and a positive attitude
