The candidate will oversee quotes, pricing, and payments, ensuring compliance with FAR/DFARS and quality standards while supporting continuous improvement and KPI reporting.

Qualifications

• Five (5+) years’ experience in supply chain, procurement, manufacturing, or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field preferred; experience may substitute for education.
• Experience with SAP or other ERP systems.

Job Summary

The Buyer is responsible for establishing and maintaining the tracking of orders and deliveries, quality problems, returns, payments & other procurement duties that may affect the completion of an operation.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Cape Canaveral, Florida.

• Select suppliers and prepare purchase orders for flight orders, goods, and services.
• Manage supplier relationships including supplier on-time delivery and quality performance.
• Request and analyze quotes from suppliers.
• Determine fair and reasonable pricing to ensure the best value for the company.
• Support return of hardware/goods as needed.
• Facilitate payment of invoices.
• Negotiate terms and conditions for purchase orders.
• Develop reports, as required, to monitor Key Performance Indicators for supplier performance.
• Monitor own procurement KPI metrics, including PR to PO placement.
• Negotiate terms and conditions for purchase orders.
• Adhere to all Quality Management Systems standards and procedures.
• Treat all coworkers with respect and dignity ensuring a collaborative culture is continually developed and maintained.

Required Education and Experience

• Five (5+) years’ experience in supply chain, procurement, manufacturing, business administration, or other relevant industry experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, or another relevant field preferred. Experience in lieu of education may be considered.
• Experienced with SAP or other relevant ERP systems.
• Experienced in establishing processes and developing continuous improvement measures.
• Understands principles of FAR/DFARS compliance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.

• Proficiency in data analytics and compiling insights on business intelligence, financial information, and/or order verification.

• Skilled in using relevant information and expert judgment to determine whether tasks and processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards.
• Ability to collaborate with many different teams/individuals to reach a common goal by building mutual trust, respect, and cooperation maintaining positive and professional relationships, and contributing to a culture of inclusion.

Physical Requirements

• Stationary Work – occasionally exerting up to 10 pounds of force to transport objects, remaining mostly stationary, sometimes requiring moving about the work center on concrete surfaces.
• Computer Work – daily use of laptop, computer monitor screen, keyboard, and mouse, sometimes utilizing a headset with microphone & speakers.
