Winnebago Industries Inc is seeking a Buyer/Planner in Clearwater, FL to ensure production has the right materials on time. You will manage supplier commitments, review ERP/MRP signals, and collaborate across purchasing, engineering, quality, and production to resolve issues before they impact operations.

The role emphasizes ownership, proactive supplier management, and effective communication to optimize inventory and costs in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Formación

• 3–5 years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, or related field.
• Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems supporting purchasing and manufacturing.
• Understanding of purchasing practices, inventory requirements, supplier management, and commodity markets.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Experience building productive relationships with suppliers and internal partners.
• Proactive, self-directed with accountability to drive actions and outcomes.
• APICS certification is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Own purchase orders and supplier commitments through release and delivery for production.
• Review ERP/MRP requirements and maintain material availability and inventory levels.
• Communicate forecasts, POs, delivery expectations, and changing requirements to suppliers.
• Expedite critical materials and resolve supply or delivery issues.
• Build relationships with suppliers and monitor performance, pricing, quality, delivery and value.
• Support supplier negotiations involving pricing, terms, materials, and services.
• Identify and develop qualified suppliers for assigned commodities.
• Coordinate purchasing activities related to engineering changes and new materials.
• Resolve invoice, receiving, pricing, and material discrepancies.
• Respond quickly when production priorities or customer requirements change.
• Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Production, Supply Chain, Transportation, Receiving, Accounts Payable, Customer Service, and Demand Planning.
