Job summary

WARN Industries in Clackamas, Oregon is seeking a Buyer Planner III to own the plan that keeps production running and customers happy. You will build Master Production Schedules, balance demand, inventory, labor, and capacity, run MRP, and preempt bottlenecks before they impact operations.

This role collaborates with Operations, Engineering and Supply Chain teams to maintain service levels and drive efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field.
• 5+ years in production planning, scheduling, materials management, or supply chain.
• Advanced knowledge of MPS, MRP, capacity planning, and inventory management.
• Strong ERP/MRP experience (JDE preferred).
• Advanced Excel skills, Pivot Tables and XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP.

Responsibilities

• Own the plan that keeps production running and customers happy.
• Build and manage Master Production Schedules (MPS).
• Balance demand, inventory, labor, machine capacity, and material availability.
• Run and analyze MRP to ensure components are available when needed.
• Identify bottlenecks, shortages, and capacity constraints before they impact production.
• Optimize inventory levels while maintaining service and production goals.
• Release and manage production work orders; manage purchasing for materials.
• Lead material planning for ECOs and NPI introductions.
• Develop reports, dashboards, and KPIs using JDE, Power BI, and Excel.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, Strategic Sourcing, and Supply Chain teams.
• Mentor Buyer Planner I and II teams.

What You'll Do

You’ll own the plan that keeps production running and customers happy.

• Build and manage Master Production Schedules (MPS)


• Balance demand, inventory, labor, machine capacity, and material availability


• Run and analyze MRP to ensure components are available when needed

• Lead material planning for Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and New Product Introductions (NPI)


• Develop reports, dashboards, and KPIs using JDE, Power BI, and Excel


• Partner with Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, Strategic Sourcing, and Supply Chain teams


• Mentor Buyer Planner I and Buyer Planner II team members

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field


• 5+ years of production planning, scheduling, materials management, or supply chain experience


• Advanced knowledge of MPS, MRP, capacity planning, and inventory management


• Strong ERP/MRP experience (JDE preferred)


• Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP functions


• Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skillsi>
