Job summary

Vantage Elevation, LLC seeks a Buyer & Planner Agent II to manage materials, align demand with production, and collaborate across Operations, Quality, Engineering, and Finance. You will drive on-time delivery, inventory optimization, and supplier performance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Ideal candidates have a solid Supply Chain degree, 2–4 years in manufacturing purchasing/planning, and experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP/Oracle). Elevator industry experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field (or equivalent).
• 2–4 years in purchasing, planning, or supply chain in manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of MRP and ERP (SAP/Oracle) and inventory control.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools.
• Ability to analyze data and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in elevator or industrial manufacturing preferred.
• APICS or similar supply chain certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Source and purchase materials to align with production needs and standards.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery with suppliers.
• Evaluate supplier performance and maintain approved vendor lists.
• Develop and maintain MRPs from forecasts and demand.
• Coordinate with production, engineering, and quality to ensure availability.
• Monitor inventory levels and adjust orders to avoid shortages or excess.
• Maintain optimal inventory to minimize carrying costs.
• Coordinate with warehouse for accurate inventory records.
• Identify opportunities for inventory reduction and process improvement.

Position Summary

Elevator Controls is seeking a motivated Buyer & Planner Agent II responsible for the effective management of assigned commodities to achieve on-time delivery, revenue, and inventory goals. This role will actively engage with team members from Operations, Quality, Engineering, Sales, Accounts Payable, Strategic Sourcing, and Suppliers to develop strong working relationships and resolve issues in a timely manner.

In addition, this position plays a critical role in developing and maintaining effective material planning, purchasing activities, and inventory management. The Buyer & Planner Agent II ensures alignment between demand forecasts, production capacity, and material availability through proactive Sales & Operations Planning (SIOP) and supplier coordination. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and highly collaborative—driving on-time delivery, inventory optimization, and operational excellence across the business.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2–4 years of experience in purchasing, planning, or supply chain roles within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of MRP systems, ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar), and inventory control principles.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools.
• Ability to analyze data, solve problems, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in elevator or industrial manufacturing.

• Maintain optimal inventory levels to support production while minimizing carrying costs.
• Coordinate with warehouse and receiving teams to ensure accurate inventory records.
• Identify and implement opportunities for inventory reduction and process improvement.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders including Operations, Engineering, Quality, Sales, and Finance.
• Support new product introductions and engineering changes by ensuring timely material availability.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency.
